It promises to be a match for the ages.
Imagine this: Mexico faces England at Estadio Azteca for a World Cup elimination game this Sunday, July 5. Two teams show up, but only one gets to remain in the tournament.
The historic game is scheduled to be shown at the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex at 5 pm. The complex will have a “Panini Sticker Exchange” from 10 am-2 pm, while folks can stay for the match.
Though Mexico has grown in its game tremendously, England has always been a soccer superpower and should never be written off. It managed to come back at the last minute and defeat the Democratic Republic of Congo in its last game.
Still, Mexico’s undefeated World Cup streak has the whole nation ecstatic. For once, some think that “El Tri” may just be able to advance to the semi-finals and play the elite of the world soccer teams.
But first, El Tri must defeat England. But everyone knows England has other plans.
In the last four meetings between both national squads, England has come out on top, scoring 12 goals in that time. But this is not the Mexico of old. In fact, they are a far different Mexico.
